WINEMAKERS COMMENTS
A smooth, medium- to full-bodied red wine with aromas of ripe blackberries, plum, and blackcurrant. Soft notes of herbs, cedar, and a hint of spice add complexity. The palate is lively and balanced with gentle tannins and a long, fruity finish.
VINTAGE
The 2024 vintage is among Hawke's Bay's finest. A cool, extended flowering period in Spring 2023 produced naturally lower yields with concentrated fruit and balanced acidity. Warm days and cool nights then allowed slow, even ripening, resulting in wines of exceptional vibrancy and depth.
